Ellie Elgamal Named Division III Swimmer of the Week

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago sophomore Ellie Elgamal (San Diego, Calif./ Bishop's School) has been selected as the NCAA Division III women's swimmer of the week by CollegeSwimming.com.

Elgamal registered NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying times in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events with respective first-place times of 58.01 and 2:08.47 at this past weekend's seven-team Chicago Invitational. She also swam a leg of the Maroons’ winning 400-yard medley relay (4:02.02) and was part of a school record-setting quartet in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:41.17).
