Dee Brizzolara Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago freshman wide receiver Dee Brizzolara (Aurora, Ohio/ Aurora) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week based on his showing in last week's 38-7 win over Denison University.

Brizzolara caught eight passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns as the Maroons (4-2) posted their third consecutive victory. He averaged 27.1 yards per reception and logged 44 yards on his lone kickoff return, giving him 261 all-purpose yards on the day.

Brizzolara currently leads the NCAA Division III with 221.5 all-purpose yards per game. He has averaged 22.5 yards for every touch this season, having accumulated 1,329 yards on 59 plays (31 receptions, 24 kickoff returns, 3 punt returns, 1 rush). He has been involved in 11 pass plays of at least 20 yards, including receptions of 42, 50, 53, 64, and 73 yards.

Brizzolara is the third Chicago player this season to earn selection to the D3football.team Team of the Week, which recognizes the top players at their respective positions throughout the NCAA Division III.
