Danny Polaneczky Named to D3football.com
National Team of the Week

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago sophomore free safety Danny Polaneczky (Cincinnati, Ohio/ Turpin) has been selected to this week's D3football.com Team of the Week following his performance in the Maroons' 37-36 overtime victory at Kenyon College this past Saturday.

Polaneczky collected 12 tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception in the double-overtime affair. He preserved the win on the game's final play by breaking up the Lords' two-point conversion attempt.

Polaneczky earned his first-ever selection to the D3football.team Team of the Week, which recognizes the top players at their respective positions throughout the NCAA Division III.

Chicago opens the home portion of its 2009 schedule Saturday, Sept. 19 when it entertains 13th-ranked Wabash College at noon.
