CHICAGO -- Senior forward Edgar Friloux (Madison, Wis./ West) and junior forward Alex Clifford (Andover, Mass./ Phillips Academy) scored second half goals 2:13 apart to lift the University of Chicago men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Augustana (Ill.) College in the season opener for both teams Tuesday at Stagg Field.

With the Maroons trailing 1-0 midway through the second period, junior midfielder Kenzo Manners (Hamamatsu City, Japan/ Hamamatsu-Kita) set up a 10-yard shot from Friloux to even the score at the 65:32 mark.

Manners then gathered the ball near midfield and fed Clifford, who scored on a breakaway at 67:45.
