Maroons Drop Two at Oshkosh Invite

OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The University of Chicago volleyball team lost a pair of matches on the second day of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational, falling to Millikin University 25-22, 25-23, 16-25, 25-23 before falling to the third-ranked Titans 25-21, 24-26, 25-15, 25-17.

Sophomore outside hitter Isis Smalls (Humble, Texas/ Atascocita) represented the Maroons on the All-Tournament Team. She collected five kills and three blocks in the four-set loss to Millikin (5-3) in Saturday's first match before hitting nine kills in 25 attempts against Wisconsin-Oshkosh (10-0).

Sophomore outside hitter Colleen Belak (Louisville, Ky./ Presentation Academy) led the Maroons' attack with 10 kills against Millikin.

In the Maroons' (6-5) loss to Wisconsin-Oshkosh, freshman middle blocker Katie Trela (Glencoe, Ill./ Regina Dominican) was credited with nine block assists -- one shy of the school record.

Chicago makes its home debut Wednesday, Sept. 16 when it entertains Lake Forest College at 7 p.m.
