Maroons Defeat North Park

CHICAGO -- Junior forward Sarah Loh (Grand Rapids, Mich./ Forest Hills Northern) scored once in each half as the 15th-ranked University of Chicago women's soccer team defeated host North Park University 3-0 Wednesday night.

Loh opened the scoring at the 17:44 mark before tallying her second goal of the game and third of the season in the 49th minute.

Freshman forward Victoria Baran (Shrewsbury, Mass./ Bancroft School) capped the scoring with her first career goal with just 13 seconds remaining in the contest.

Sophomore goalkeeper Emma Gormley (Carmel, Ind./ Carmel) collected a pair of saves to notch the shutout.

Chicago returns to action Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University.
