Approximately 100 University of Chicago student-athletes took part in the "Put Me In Coach" youth sports clinic April 12, 2008 at the Henry Crown Field House. More than 130 youth from the local area participated in track and field, soccer, football, and volleyball. In addition, representatives of local youth sports organizations discussed with parents the opportunities available for children to participate in organized athletic programs.
The Order of the "C" delivered 1,001 pounds of food and clothing to the St. Columbanus Church. The items were collected at the Maroons' basketball game on February 8, 2008.
