Weekly Fitness Mini-Series

Week One: Fitness Myths Debunked
Five common myths that people associate with fitness will be discussed and debunked in this one-hour session. We will meet in the Berwanger Conference room on the first floor of the Ratner Athletic Center. Attend on one of the following dates (beginning at 6:30 p.m.):

Week Two: Basics of Weight Training (beginners welcome)
In this session, you will be given a general overview of the selectorized strength training equipment available at the Ratner Athletic Center, as well as some ideas on how to use the dumbbells and pulley cord machines. This will be a hands-on session, so come dressed to work out. Please meet us on the second-floor weight area of the Ratner Athletic Center on one of the following dates (beginning at 6:30 p.m.):

Week Three: Basics of Cardiovascular Training (beginners welcome)
Come to this session to learn how to walk or run a little farther, a little faster and a little more efficiently. We will meet in the Berwanger Conference room on the first floor of the Ratner Athletic Center, then we’ll head to the cardio rotunda to apply what we learned ─ again, come dressed to work out! Choose from one of the following dates (beginning at 6:30 p.m.):

Week Four: Abs and Glutes
Exercises to strengthen and tone the abdominals and the gluteus will be presented in this session, as well as some tips on how to get more out of your day-to-day workout. Sessions take place on (beginning at 6:30 p.m.):
