CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Chicago men's tennis doubles team of sophomore Tyler Raclin and first-year Jeremy Yuan advanced to the semifinal round at day two of the NCAA Division III Singles & Doubles Championships on Friday.

The Maroon combo faced familiar opponents in the quarterfinals – Jason Haugen and Konrad Kozlowski of conference rival Washington University – St. Louis. They had met previously back in the fall in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region championship match, which UChicago pulled out 4-6, 7-5, 10-8.

This time around, Raclin and Yuan made quick work of WashU in straight sets with scores of 6-2, 6-4. They advance to Saturday's NCAA semifinals where they will face Emory University.

In the women's doubles bracket, the Maroons were represented by sophomore Marjorie Antohi and first-year Claire Handa in the quarterfinals. They took on No. 2-seed Julia Cancio and Juli Raventos (Williams College). With Williams building momentum right from the start, UChicago lost 6-1, 6-1. Anothi and Handa concluded their All-American campaign with a doubles record of 15-8 on the year.
