UChicago wrestling finishes 19th at day two of the Pete Willson Invite

WHEATON, Ill. – The University of Chicago wrestling team finished 19th out of 32 teams at the conclusion of the two-day Wheaton College Pete Willson Invitational on Saturday.

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater won the team title with 155.5 points, followed by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with 120.5 points. The Maroons were 19th with 30 points.

No. 6-seed Charlie Banaszak was still in contention on Saturday in the consolation draw after going 3-1 the previous day. The freshman won his first match 2-1 in the consolation quarterfinals of the 141-pound bracket. He lost his next match via first-period pin and finished in sixth place with a medical forfeit.
