Maroon women's soccer adds nine incoming recruits for 2017 season

CHICAGO – University of Chicago Head Women's Soccer Coach Amy Reifert announced on Friday the team's nine incoming freshmen slated to join the Maroons in the 2017 season.

The 2016 season was a historic one for the Maroons, as they reached the NCAA semifinals for the fourth time. UChicago concluded the year with a 18-4-1 record, which tied the school record for most wins in a season. The defense posted the lowest goals against average (0.43) and the most shutouts (14) in program history. Midfielders Mia Calamari and Jenna McKinney both earned All-American status. Reifert and her assistants were picked as NSCAA Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year, as well as UAA Coaching Staff of the Year.

She has returned to full strength and is once again showcasing her skills as a shot stopper and great distributor of the ball. She is comfortable and confident with the ball at her feet and will be an excellent addition to our depth at the goalkeeping position."
