Feb. 23, 2008 Maroons Capture 5th Place at UAA Championship ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team placed fifth at the 2008 University Athletic Association Championship held Wednesday through Saturday at the University of Rochester. Freshman Ellie Elgamal (San Diego, Calif./ Bishop's School) won the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events. | Results |
OXFORD, Ohio -- University of Chicago freshman Ellie Elgamal (San Diego, Calif./ Bishop's School) earned All-America accolades in one event and competed in two others at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. Elgamal garnered honorable mention All-America recognition as she placed 15th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.87 seconds. |
