Maroons Defeat Illinois Tech

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team improved to 2-0 on the season Friday night with a 165-68 win over the host Illinois Institute of Technology. Sophomore Tara Levens (Palo Alto, Calif./ Gunn) led the Maroons to first-place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay (1:56.69) and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:44.14) and took top honors in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.31).

Chicago Edges Wheaton in Season Opener

WHEATON, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team opened its 2009-10 campaign with a 105-100 victory Saturday at Wheaton (Ill.) College. Sophomore Tara Levens (Palo Alto, Calif./ Gunn) (pictured) and freshman Tatum Stewart (Champaign, Ill./ Central) each won an individual event and participated on a pair of winning relays.



 


 

Maroons to Participate in
"Hour of Power" Relay

(Nov. 4, 2009) -- On Nov. 10, the Maroons will participate in the “Hour of Power” relay in honor of Carleton College swimmer Ted Mullin, who died in the fall of 2006 from sarcoma, a rare soft-tissue cancer.
