Maroons Stand 26th in Division III Power Rankings
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago men's outdoor track & field team has been ranked 26th in this week's NCAA Division III Dual Meet Rankings released today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Maroons Finish Fourth at UAA Championship
PITTSBURGH -- Paced by 15 all-conference performers, the University of Chicago men's outdoor track & field team captured fourth place at the 2009 University Athletic Association Championship. Chicago's lone first-place finish came in the 3,200-meter relay, as sophomore Harry Backlund (St. Paul, Minn./ Highland Park) (pictured), sophomore Toby Blattler (Brookline, Mass./ Brookline), junior Alex Garbier (Watertown, Mass./ Watertown), and sophomore Andrew Wells-Qu (Bethlehem, Conn./ Holy Cross) clocked a time of 7:47.19.

Three Maroons Compete at Division III Championship
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- University of Chicago juniors Bill Cheng (Island Lake, Ill./ Wauconda) (pictured) and Blake Obuchowski (Geneva, Ill./ Geneva) and sophomore Andrew Wells-Qu (Bethlehem, Conn./ Holy Cross) participated on the first day of the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship Friday at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Maroons Fall Three Points Shy of UAA Championship
NEW YORK -- Three Maroons won conference titles and 10 others earned all-conference honors as the University of Chicago men's indoor track & field team captured third place at the 2009 University Athletic Association Championship. The top three teams finished within only three points of each other. Emory University captured the league crown with 106 points, just one point ahead of runner-up Carnegie Mellon University and three points ahead of Chicago. Junior Blake Obuchowski (Geneva, Ill./ Geneva) (pictured) and sophomores Keith Newhouse (Palos Park, Ill./ Stagg) and Drew Jackson (Sugar Hill, Ga./ North Gwinnett) took home UAA individual championships.
