Claire Ray Notches Third All-America Performance
 MARIETTA, Ohio -- University of Chicago junior Claire Ray (Park Ridge, Ill./ St. Ignatius) (pictured) earned her third All-America award of the weekend on the third and final day of the 2009 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Ray finished fourth in the shot put competition with a 13.94-meter distance. Sophomore Stephanie Omueti (Chicago, Ill./ Whitney Young) joined Ray as an All-American after finishing eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.39 seconds.

Chicago Places Third at UAA Championship
 PITTSBURGH -- Featuring six first-place performances and a pair of conference record-setting efforts, the University of Chicago women's outdoor track & field team claimed third place at the 2009 University Athletic Association Championship Saturday and Sunday at Carnegie Mellon University. Junior Claire Ray (Park Ridge, Ill./ St. Ignatius) won three events -- all with NCAA Division III provisional-qualifying distances -- and set two UAA records.

Nicole Murphy Named UAA's Top Field Performer
 CHICAGO -- University of Chicago junior Nicole Murphy (Coppell, Texas/ Coppell) has been named the University Athletic Association Women's Indoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Performer for Field Events, the conference announced today.
