Kendra Higgins, Chrissy Hu Win NCAA Doubles Championship

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- University of Chicago sophomore Chrissy Hu (Palo Alto, Calif./ Palo Alto) and freshman Kendra Higgins (Vero Beach, Fla./ Vero Beach) won the doubles title at the 2009 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. Higgins and Hu became the first Maroons to claim NCAA Division III women's tennis individual titles.

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago Head Tennis Coach Marty Perry has been named the 2009 Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Coach of the Year for NCAA Division III women's tennis.

Chicago Places 4th at NCAA Division III Championship

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The University of Chicago captured fourth place at the 2009 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship after dropping a 5-1 decision to Emory University in the third-place match Thursday at the Collins Hill Tennis Club.

Kendra Higgins Named UAA MVP

CHICAGO -- University of Chicago freshman Kendra Higgins (Vero Beach, Fla./ Vero Beach) has been named the University Athletic Association Most Valuable Player as the conference today released its 2009 All-Association Women's Tennis Team. Higgins was also named UAA Rookie of the Year and selected to the All-Association First Team at first singles and first doubles.

Jennifer Kung Wins ITA Small College Singles Title

MOBILE, Ala. -- University of Chicago freshman women's tennis player Jennifer Kung (Sunnyvale, Calif./ Homestead) captured the singles title at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Small College Championship held Thursday through Saturday at the Copleland-Cox Tennnis Center.
