Before arriving at Chicago, Sain spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach at University Athletic Association rival Carnegie Mellon University, where she was a four-year starter from 2001-05.

A three-time All-UAA selection, Sain finished her career as CMU's sixth-leading all-time scorer with 1,189 points. She also set school records for most three-point field goals in a career (175) and season (54).

Sain graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.

Korry Schwanz

Korry Schwanz, one of the top backcourt performers in Chicago women's basketball history, returns for her third season with the coaching staff in 2009-10.

In her debut campaign two years ago, Schwanz helped guide the Maroons to their first University Athletic Association title in 20 years and a berth in the NCAA Division III round of 16. For her efforts, Schwanz was honored as a member of the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year.

A four-time All-UAA pick from 2003-07, Schwanz finished her career as the third-leading scorer (1,226 points) in Chicago history and as one of only two players in the program’s 36-year history to collect at least 1,000 points and 250 assists.

As a senior in 2006-07, Schwanz was the most accurate free throw shooter in the NCAA Division III (93.2%), thus becoming Chicago women’s basketball’s first-ever national statistical champion.
