OLIVET, Mich. -- Sophomore Meghan Herrick (Cedarburg, Wis./ Cedarburg) (pictured) and senior Jamie Stinson (Topeka, Kan./ Shawnee Heights) scored 13 and 11 points, respectively, as the 14th-ranked University of Chicago women's basketball team opened its 2009-10 campaign Sunday with a 66-50 win at Olivet College.

CHICAGO -- Four University of Chicago women's basketball players have been selected to the 2009 All-University Athletic Association Team, the conference announced today. Junior Molly Hackney (East Lansing, Mich./ Lansing Catholic) (pictured) and freshman Bryanne Halfhill (Canfield, Ohio/ Canfield) earned Second Team accolades, while senior Alex Leach (Gurnee, Ill./ Warren) and sophomore Karly Kasper (Palos Park, Ill./ Stagg) garnered honorable mention recognition.
