Molly Hackney Named UAA Player of the Week
CHICAGO -- University of Chicago sophomore Molly Hackney (East Lansing, Mich./ Lansing Catholic) has been named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week. Hackney scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Chicago (22-6) fell to Kean University 70-56 at the NCAA Division III sectional semifinals.

Maroons Advance to NCAA Round of 16
STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- Senior guard Nofi Mojidi (Silver Spring, Md./ Bullis School) and sophomore forward Molly Hackney (East Lansing, Mich./ Lansing Catholic) combined for 31 of the Maroons' 65 points as the University of Chicago defeated St. Norbert College 65-52 in the second round of the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. The victory moves Chicago (22-5) into the national round of 16 to be held next Friday and Saturday at a site to be announced Monday morning. | Box Score

Maroons Win UAA Title
CHICAGO – Senior guard Nofi Mojidi (Silver Spring, Md./ Bullis School) scored 25 points as the 21st-ranked University of Chicago women's basketball team defeated #23 Washington (Mo.) University 76-53 to win the University Athletic Association title and earn an automatic bid to the 2008 NCAA Division III tournament. With the victory, Chicago (20-5 overall, 11-3 UAA) captured its first league title since 1988-89 and its first-ever outright crown. | Box Score
