Majors: Public Policy and Psychology
Tali Naibryf is a senior sprinter and hurdler on the Maroon women's track & field team. At the Windy City Invite last weekend, Naibryf recorded lifetime-best times in three different events, including the 60 meters, 200 meters and 4x400-meter relay.
Head Coach Chris Hall: "Tali has had a fantastic start to her senior year of track. She has always worked extremely hard and it appears that years of hard work are absolutely paying off for her now. This weekend, she ran lifetime bests in all three events she competed in. Her 60-meter dash time of 8.13 moved her into scoring position (eighth) in the UAA and her 200-meter dash moved her all the way up to fifth currently in the conference. Tali has not competed in the indoor UAAs prior to this season, so these are tremendous improvements. She also led off one of our 4x400-meter relays and ran the fastest split of her life in that event.
Tali has absolutely added to our team in terms of her weekly performances, but what she does for us daily in practice is even more impressive. Tali not only works as hard as anyone in our program, she does so with an exceptionally positive attitude that our team feeds off of."
Teammate Grace Penders: "Tali has an incredible work ethic, inspiring her teammates to give 100 percent every day on and off the track. For the past four years, she has been a leader and role model for the sprinters, personally showing how one’s passion for the sport can lead to success. This winter season, Tali has really stepped it up on the track, showcasing her talent for the 60m and 200m. Every week, she is consistently beating her personal bests in her events. The team is very excited to see her next steps and I’m sure nobody is surprised to see her getting the recognition she deserves for all her hard work this week and over the past four years."
