Hannah Eastman is a senior on the Maroon women's swimming and diving team. Eastman earned three individual All-American honors at the NCAA Division III Championships, finishing seventh in the 200-yard butterfly, 11th in the 200-yard IM and 11th in the 200-yard freestyle. She also tallied All-American finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay (9th), 400-yard freestyle relay (9th) and 400-yard medley relay (10th).
Head Coach Jason Weber: "Hannah’s last meet of her career proved to be her best. After never having scored in an individual event her first three years, Hannah scored in all three of her events, including an All-American seventh-place finish in the 200 fly. Hannah got a best time in pretty much everything she swam and her amazing relay splits - some of the fastest ever in team history - helped secure top finishes and led our team to its best-ever NCAA finish. Hannah’s performances were a true inspiration to her teammates and we would not have been close to a top-10 finish without her."
Teammate Simone Stover: "Hannah has had an amazing year! She really helped carry our team through our championship meets, both through her high-scoring individual and relay swims and her leadership as a captain. At NCAAs, she made finals in all three of her individual events, which included a top-8 finish in the 200 fly. All of her accomplishments have been well deserved. She worked so hard throughout the whole season, especially in the weight room, where everyone is in awe of how strong she is. She has a great job lined up for next year, and I’m so glad that she got to end her time with UChicago swimming on such a high note!"
