Swimming & Diving

UChicago will travel to Atlanta for the 2018 University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships – the four-day competition begins on Wednesday and carries on through Saturday.

At last year's UAA Championships, the Maroon women finished third and the men were fourth in the team standings. Sophomore Agnes Lo is the reigning UAA Women's Diver of the Year after sweeping the one-meter and three-meter boards last season. All told, UChicago returns eight women and seven men who earned All-UAA accolades in 2017.

Women's Basketball

With their postseason spot already secure, the No. 11-ranked Maroons (20-2 record, 11-0 UAA) return home for weekend matchups with Carnegie Mellon University (9-13, 1-10 UAA) and Case Western Reserve University (4-17, 1-10 UAA) on Friday and Sunday.

Last weekend, the Maroons became the first team to earn an automatic NCAA tournament bid as they clinched a share of the UAA title with road wins over New York University and Brandeis University. It is the second year in-a-row and seventh time in program history that UChicago has qualified for the postseason. After a 59-47 win in a defensive battle with NYU put the Maroons on the cusp, they clinched against Brandeis with a wire-to-wire 81-56 victory. Sophomore guard Mia Farrell led the team with 15 points and six players scored at least nine in a well-balanced effort.
