UChicago (14-10 record) has a busy stretch ahead with five opponents this week, including eight games scheduled over four days. The team will hit the road for a trio of doubleheaders at Roosevelt University (10-34) on Tuesday night, Wheaton College (7-27) on Thursday afternoon and Kalamazoo College (9-21) on Friday evening. Upon its return to Chicago, the squad will host Case Western Reserve University (25-8) for a quartet of contests on Saturday and Sunday.
Rainy weather and postponements have limited the Maroons to two games over the past 10 days. They lost a road doubleheader at Millikin University 5-2 and 6-3 last Tuesday. Junior outfielder Serena Moss is a perfect 10-for-10 on stolen bases and 32-for-32 in her career.
The Maroons (18-9 record) kick off this week's slate of games on Wednesday night with a trip to Rockford University (12-12). They will then host Caltech (4-30) for a doubleheader on Saturday before closing out their final home stand of the year with a third contest on Sunday. That game will be Senior Day as UChicago celebrates its graduating players.
After a 15-5 home win against Edgewood College on Thursday, UChicago split doubleheaders against Benedictine University on Saturday and Elmhurst College on Sunday. The pitching staff kept the team in contention all weekend, posting a 1.31 ERA in the four weekend fixtures. Junior pitcher Brenton Villasenor has struck out 30 batters over his last 20 innings of work.
No. 3-ranked UChicago (13-4 record) heads down to Altamonte Springs, Fla. for this weekend's University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship. The men's team enters the tournament with the second seed in the eight-team draw. The first match comes on Thursday morning in the quarterfinals against seventh-seeded New York University (5-7).
At last year's UAA Championship, the Maroons took third place for the second time in three seasons. UChicago played a final tune-up at Division I opponent Valparaiso on Sunday, with the Crusaders edging out a 4-3 win. Sophomore Erik Kerrigan claimed victory in the No. 1 singles match in three sets, and replicated the feat with sophomore Ninan Kumar at the top doubles spot.

The No. 10-ranked Maroons (15-3 record) will also be in Florida for the UAA Championship. The women are the No. 3 seed out of eighth teams – their opening opponent is No. 6-seed NYU (9-0) on Friday.
UChicago finished runner-up at the 2017 UAA Championship. The squad is currently riding a five-match winning streak and owns a 3-1 record against conference opponents this year. The Maroons have beaten rival Washington University – St. Louis twice on April 7 and 14. No. 2 singles has been the strength of the team as UChicago boasts a 16-1 record at that position this season.

Outdoor Track & Field
UChicago will compete in the UAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday and Sunday.
At last year's UAA outdoor meet, the host Maroons finished second on the women's side and fourth on the men's side with a combined seven titles. The teams enter in top form after the they both dominated at Wheaton College's Don Church Twilight Meet, claiming first place on both sides with 11 total event wins. Sophomore Laura Darcey's 1.68-meter high jump is the fourth-best mark in NCAA Division III and she was honored with UAA Athlete of Week accolades on Monday.
