UChicago (8-0 record) looks to continue its undefeated momentum with a quintet of matches on tap this week. The Maroons face their first nationally-ranked test with No. 11 Illinois Wesleyan University (5-2) coming to the Ratner Athletics Center on Tuesday night. They then head north to Carthage College for four matches on Friday and Saturday.
The Maroons hit a season-best .469 in last weekend's 3-0 win against St. Norbert College. All-Tournament selection Anne Marie Stifter smacked 10 kills on 17 attempts, and the team only committed five attack errors in three sets played. UChicago's .274 team hitting percentage currently leads the University Athletic Association (UAA).

The No. 3-ranked Maroons (4-0 record) play a pair at home on the Stagg Field grass versus No. 15-ranked Hope College (3-0) on Wednesday and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (2-1-1) on Sunday. UChicago has won 25 of its past 26 home games.
UChicago has shutout three of its four opponents so far this year, with an enormous 41-5 lead in corner kicks. Junior Hanna Watkins has shouldered the scoring load with four goals and one assist. First-year Nicole Kaspi has tallied a goal in each of the last two games.

After starting the year on a four-game road trip, No. 2-ranked UChicago (3-0-1 record) returns to Stagg Field for a trio of home contests this week. The team opens with a night game against Wheaton College (2-0-1) on Wednesday, followed by a Saturday afternoon versus Macalester College (2-1-1) and a Sunday nightcap versus Loras College (2-0).
The senior forward duo of Matthew Koh and Max Lopez continue to light up the scoreboard. They have combined for seven of the team's 10 goals this year, along with three assists. Koh was recently named UAA Athlete of the Week following his two goals at No. 2-ranked North Park University. Lopez recently passed the 100-career points threshold and now stands at 103 points in 66 games.

UChicago makes its season debut at the third-annual Hall of Fame ITA Grass Court Invitational in Newport, R.I. from Friday-Sunday. The format includes four men's teams and four women's teams, with four players from each participating program. The singles format will include two draws of eight players per gender, with three total matches per player. Doubles will feature two draws of four teams per gender with two guaranteed matches each.
In the 2017-18 season, the Maroons went 19-5 and reached the NCAA Quarterfinals for the eighth time in the last 10 years. Junior Marjorie Antohi and Claire Handa were All-Americans in both singles and doubles.

The Maroons run their second race of the fall season at the Wheaton College Gil Dodds Invitational. The women will be up first in the 6K, followed by the men in the 8K.
UChicago dominated its season-opening meet at the University of St. Francis Twilight Invitational on August 31. The men won by sweeping the top three placements, led by first-year Henry Myers. The women captured four of the top five spots to earn the team title and sophomore Sophia Elgamal was the individual medalist.
