UChicago hosted the Midway Classic on Nov. 16-18, defeating Heidelberg University 89-70 and MIT 81-72. Four Maroons scored in double digits in the first contest, while junior guard Miranda Burt dropped a season-high 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting to spark her team in the second game. Burt has made 90 percent of her free throws so far this year (18-20).

The Maroons (3-2) play twice on the road this week, facing No. 18-ranked Wheaton College (5-0) on Thursday night and Kalamazoo College (2-3) early Saturday afternoon.
UChicago split its games last week. On Tuesday, the Maroons topped North Park University 87-68 on the strength of 27 points from senior guard Noah Karras and a near triple-double from junior guard Jordan Baum, who racked up seven points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds. Saturday's matchup at Lake Forest College brought a 75-61 defeat that snapped a three-game winning streak. Junior guard Cole Schmitz tallied a career-high 17 points in that contest.

The third-ranked Maroons (18-2-1 record) will travel to Greensboro, N.C. for the NCAA Division III Final Four this weekend. UChicago faces No. 4-ranked Calvin College (21-1) on Friday morning with a spot in Saturday's national championship match at stake. The other semifinal features No. 2-ranked Tufts University (16-0-3) versus No. 9-ranked University of Rochester (16-2-2). The championship match is scheduled for Saturday at 2:30 PM (ET).

UChicago will head to Milwaukee on Saturday for the 14th-annual MSOE Invitational.
The Maroons hope to build on their recent outstanding performance in the Concordia University (Wis.) Open, at which six UChicago wrestlers earned podium finishes. Junior Steve Bonsall and first-year Cole Riemer took runner-up honors in their brackets, while junior Kyle Peisker amassed five wins en route to a third-place finish at 174 pounds.
