UChicago is sending two wrestlers to the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday and Saturday. Ferrum College is the host in Roanoke, Va.
First-year Ben Sarasin is the No. 6 seed at 174 pounds and sports a 29-6 overall record. His opening opponent is Haydn Kinjorski (Olivet College). Junior Kyle Peisker will take on either No. 2 seed Jake Ashcraft (Ithaca College) or Cody Baldridge (North Central College). Peisker leads the team in victories at 32-5. The top eight finishers in each weight class will achieve All-American status. UChicago's last All-American was Steve Bonsall (157 pounds) in 2017.

Indoor Track & Field
The Maroons will be bringing 10 athletes to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday, hosted by University of Massachusetts – Boston.
The 10 qualifiers are tied for the third-most of any school this year. The contingent features eight women and two men. The highest seeded UChicago participants include senior Alexandra Thompson in the high jump (fifth), sophomore Sophie Elgamal in the 3,000 meters (eighth), junior Alexander Scott in the shot put (ninth) and first-year Isabel Maletich in the triple jump (tenth).

UChicago (3-0 record) continues its home stand with a pair of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) opponents – Albion College (2-1) on Friday and Kalamazoo College (1-1) on Sunday.
The Maroons currently lead the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) with 18.3 goals per game. They also boast the league's leading scorer in first-year midfielder Karina Schulze (15 goals, 4 assists), who was named CCIW Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. UChicago opponents are only 3-for-11 on free-position shots this season.

The Maroons (2-1 record) will play a neutral site doubleheader versus Thomas More College (2-4) on Sunday in Westfield, Ind.
UChicago took two of three at Transylvania University last week to start the 2019 season. Senior catcher Ian Bohn cracked three doubles and hit for a .462 batting average to earn Midwest Conference Position Player of the Week on Monday. The Maroon pitching staff limited the Pioneers to a .205 batting average while striking out 37 batters in 24 innings.
