UChicago (5-7 record) returns from its spring break trip with a quartet of doubleheaders this week. The Maroons will travel to North Central College (14-2) on Tuesday and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (7-5) on Saturday, while also hosting Carthage College (12-4) on Thursday and Kalamazoo College (6-5) on Sunday.
During the team's stretch of Florida games, senior designated player Maeve Garvey swung a power bat with four doubles, one homer and 10 RBI. First-year catcher Katie O'Donnell hit for a .391 batting average with four steals on five attempts. First-year Bethany Regnerus paced the pitching staff with eight appearances and three wins.

The Maroons (7-1 record) kick off conference play within the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) this week. Their CCIW opener on Wednesday night came against visiting Elmhurst College (1-5). UChicago then plays at North Central College (9-1) on Saturday and at Saint Mary's College (5-4) on Sunday.
UChicago saw its seven-game win streak snapped during its California trip, defeating Whittier College 19-6 and losing to University of Redlands 20-12. First-year midfielder Karina Schulze collected 14 draw controls herself versus only 12 for Redlands as a team. The Maroons still lead the CCIW with 17.2 goals per game.

The No. 1-ranked UChicago men (11-1 record) take on local opponent Illinois Institute of Technology (10-8) for the first time ever on Thursday evening as XS Tennis.
Last week's California trip featured three matches versus nationally-ranked teams. The Maroons came out on top twice – 5-4 over No. 14 Pomona-Pitzer and No. 6 Williams College – before losing to host No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 6-3. Senior Charlie Pei was UAA Athlete of the Week after going 3-0 at No. 3 doubles and 2-1 at No. 3 singles.

The No. 9-ranked Maroon women (6-4 record) look to repeat as team champions at the Midwest Invite this weekend in Madison, Wis. UChicago is the top seed and will initially face off with eighth-seed DePauw University (6-8) on Friday morning.
The Maroons have won three-straight Midwest Invites, including 6-3 over Washington University – St. Louis in last year's final. UChicago and DePauw faced off earlier this year on February 8, with the Maroons sweeping 9-0. Junior Marjorie Antohi prevailed with a clean 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.

Outdoor Track & Field
UChicago heads to the western suburbs on Saturday for the Wheaton College Invitational.
The Maroons made their outdoor debut at last weekend's Augustana College Viking Olympics meet. Senior Nicole VacaGuzman submitted the ninth-best time in the country in the women's 800 meters, winning in a time of 2:15.66.

The Maroons (7-3 record) get back into action with a three-game Midwest Conference series at Cornell College (8-8) on Saturday and Sunday.
UChicago's weekend conference opener at Lawrence University was wiped out by cold weather conditions. Earlier last week, the Maroons knocked off No. 1-ranked Trinity University (Texas) by a 4-3 score in 10 innings. Senior Joe Liberman earned the victory with seven strikeouts and only one hit allowed in five innings of relief.
