CHICAGO – The University of Chicago received a quartet of Athlete of the Week recognitions from the University Athletic Association (UAA) on Monday.

The Maroons swept the weekly volleyball awards with a pair of repeat winners. In a rematch of last year's NCAA second-round postseason match, Griffith put up 50 assists, 10 digs and five service aces. The junior currently leads the nation in assists per set (11.56) and has reached 50 assists three times this year.

Anne Marie Stifter garnered her second-straight UAA offensive award with a big stat line of 19 kills, 26 digs and four blocks against Aurora. The senior outside hitter paces the Maroons in kills with 163 (3.26 per set) while hitting .217 on the season. She is second on the team in digs at 188 (3.76 per set).

Mike Martinson was the UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week in football for the first time in his career. The junior running back set new career highs with 121 rushing yards and 9.3 yards per carry in a 27-10 home victory over Lake Forest College on Saturday. He broke off a 66-yard touchdown run as well, while catching one pass and returning two punts for 28 yards on the afternoon.

Goalkeeper Miranda Malone also received her first UAA weekly honor in women's soccer. The junior made five saves in a 1-1 tie with No. 8-ranked Wheaton College, and collected one more stop in a 4-0 road win at Calvin University. On the year, Malone owns a 0.75 goals against average, a .750 save percentage and a 6-1-1 overall record.
