No. 3-ranked UChicago (18-1 record) will play a pair of top 5 nationally-ranked opponents this week. The Maroons start off with a home contest versus No. 4-ranked Carthage College (20-1) on Tuesday night. They head out to Case Western Reserve University this weekend for UAA Round Robin #3, with their Sunday opponents University of Rochester (8-15) and No. 1-ranked Emory University (16-1).
UChicago has won 17-straight matches – the most consecutive wins in program history. The defense has been key, as the Maroons have limited their past four opponents to a hitting percentage under .100. UChicago is currently fourth in the nation with 20.94 digs per set.

The Maroons will be represented by four players at the four-day Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup from Thursday-Sunday. The ITA Cup, hosted by Berry College, will feature the top two finishers from each ITA Regional in singles and doubles. Each of the four divisional champions (Divisions II, III, NAIA and JUCO) will be automatically entered in the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which takes place at the Newport Beach Tennis Club & The Tennis Club.
UChicago will send sophomores Lauren Park and Nicole Semenov in singles, and first-years Claudia Ng and Perene Wang in doubles. Park won the ITA Central Region singles title while Ng/Wang claimed the ITA Central Region doubles championship. So far this fall, Park has won all 11 of her singles matches and Ng/Wang are 9-0 as a duo.

No. 13-ranked UChicago (8-1-2 record, 1-0-1 UAA) continues its University Athletic Association (UAA) slate this weekend with road contests at Brandeis University (9-3, 1-1 UAA) on Friday and No. 21-ranked New York University (9-3, 1-1 UAA) on Sunday.
Last week, the Maroons beat Carthage College 2-0 and tied No. 19-ranked University of Rochester 1-1. Junior midfielder Claudia Hodgetts scored two of the team's three goals on the week and earned UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time on Monday. UChicago has not allowed more than one goal in any game this season, outscoring opponents by a total of 33-7.

The No. 5-ranked Maroons (6-1-4 record, 2-0 UAA) plays a pair of road league games at Brandeis (6-2-4, 1-0-1 UAA) and NYU (5-4-1, 2-0 UAA) on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
UChicago picked up its fifth shutout of the season and third in-a-row at Rochester, winning 2-0. Sophomore midfielder Sahil Modi picked up his first-ever UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week after he delivered the first-half game-winning score. Seven different players have scored at least two goals for the Maroons.

UChicago makes its annual trek to University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday. The invite at Lake Breeze Golf Club starts with the men's 8K race at 10:30 AM, followed by the women's 6K race at 11:20 AM.
Last week, the Maroons swept the team titles at the Benedictine University Invite. The women won their third-straight meet and fourth overall this year. The men also captured their fourth team title. Junior Sophie Elgamal was UAA Women's Athlete of the Week after collecting medalist honors in a time of 22:18.2.
