CHICAGO - Opening weekend of NCAA Division III Championships for the fall sports is here for University of Chicago student-athletes. The winter season is also in full swing as eight Maroon sports are in action.
UChicago (26-3) will be hosting an NCAA Regional for the second-straight year at the Ratner Athletics Center on Friday-Sunday, Nov. 15-17. The Maroons are the No. 1-seed in the eight-team regional, and their first opponent is No. 8-seed Westminster (Mo.) College. Match time is 8:00 PM (CT) on Friday.
NCAA Men's Soccer
The Maroons (11-1-5 record) are on the road for the four-team NCAA Regional hosted by Hope College on Friday-Saturday, Nov. 15-16. UChicago will open up with Dominican University at 2:30 PM (ET) on Friday afternoon. The winner of that match will face either Ohio Wesleyan University or Hope College on Saturday afternoon.
NCAA Women's Soccer
UChicago (12-2-3 record) is set to host a four-team NCAA Regional pod on Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 16-17 at Stagg Field. The Maroons open up with University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg at 11:00 AM (CT) on Saturday. The winner will advance to Sunday's 1:00 PM (CT) match against either Augsburg University or Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Men's and Women's Cross Country
UChicago takes the next step toward the national meet with Saturday's NCAA Regional Championship hosted by University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The men's 8K race commences at 11:00 AM (CT), followed by the women's 6K race at 12:00 PM (CT).
The Maroons (5-3 record) close out their season with a 12:00 PM home contest on Saturday versus Lake Forest College.
UChicago (0-1 record) will travel to the Trine University Invite on Saturday, with action slated to start at starting at 9:00 AM.
The Maroons (1-1 record) play their first road game of the season at University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 PM (CT) on Saturday.
