Men's & Women's Tennis
Both programs are in action on Thursday night, as No. 4-ranked UChicago men's tennis (2-0 record) hosts DePauw University (0-1) at XS Tennis, while the No. 8-ranked Maroon women's tennis (1-0 record) plays DePauw (0-0) in Griffith, Ind.
The Maroon men have defeated their opening two opponents of the year (Lewis University and Augustana College) by matching 8-1 scores. UChicago's women shut out Lewis 9-0 in their debut. Sophomore Joshua Xu was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week on Monday following his dominating wins at No. 3 doubles (8-0) and No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-3). Since the beginning of the fall, the men's and women's teams boast a combined singles record of 74-15 (.831 winning percentage).

Indoor Track & Field
The Maroons host the Windy City Invitational this weekend at Henry Crown Field House. The multis will take place on Friday afternoon, with the full meet occurring on Saturday.
Senior Laura Darcey was picked as UAA Athlete of the Week for women's field events. Her career-best high jump of 1.71 currently ranks third in NCAA Division III. Junior Ryan Cutter's 3,000-meter time of 8:31.96 over the weekend places him 18th in the nation.Eight Maroon women currently rank the top 10 nationally in their respective events.

No. 13-ranked UChicago (15-3, 6-1 UAA) rematches with last weekend's opponents, this time hitting the road to compete at Emory University (14-4, 5-2 UAA) on Friday night and University of Rochester (7-11, 1-6 UAA) on Sunday afternoon.
Two wins over Emory and Rochester last week allowed the Maroons to ascend to sole possession of first place in the UAA. UChicago is 13-1 this year when scoring at least 73 points. Sophomore forward Klaire Steffens is averaging 10.2 rebounds per game over her last six contests.

As the UAA schedule flips to the second half, the Maroons (7-11, 2-5 UAA) will play road contests on Friday and Sunday at No. 6-ranked Emory (16-2, 6-1 UAA) on Friday and Rochester (13-5, 4-3 UAA), respectively.
Since entering the starting lineup, sophomore guard Brandon Beckman has averaged 13.4 points and 4.4 assists per game over the past five contests. Senior point guard Jordan Baum has tallied a 7.5-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio over the past four games. After this weekend, the Maroons will have played five games against nationally-ranked teams this season.
