In the final weekend of competition before the NCAA national meet, UChicago heads out to a pair of final qualifiers hosted by Wartburg College and Carthage College this weekend.
The Maroons are coming off second place team finishes at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Championships. UChicago captured a combined eight event titles, with Isabel Maletich (long jump, triple jump) and Alexander Scott (shot put, weight throw) winning two individual events each.

The No. 18-ranked Maroons (20-5 record) return to the NCAA postseason for the fourth-straight year with a four-team regional hosted by Baldwin Wallace University. UChicago opens first-round action on Friday against La Roche University (20-6). A potential second-round matchup on Saturday would come against No. 9-ranked Baldwin Wallace (26-2) or Haverford College (23-4).
The current seniors became the first class in program history to qualify for the NCAA tournament all four years. This is their ninth all-time postseason appearance and the Maroons are 5-3 in first-round games. UChicago's balanced attack features four players averaging double-digit points per game.

UChicago (3-0 record) looks to keep its offensive momentum rolling with a three-game road series at Transylvania University (3-3) on Saturday and Sunday.
The Maroons averaged 10 runs per game during their opening weekend wins against Loras College and Illinois Wesleyan University. Sophomore third baseman Carson Weekley picked up Midwest Conference Position Player of the Week honors after totaling a .571 batting average, two home runs, two doubles and eight RBI.

The Maroons (2-0 record) play their second home game of the season when they host University of Wisconsin-River Falls (0-0) on Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field.
UChicago's balanced scoring effort has resulted in 11 players contributing to the team's 30 goals so far this season. The offense is putting 83 percent of its shots on goal compared to 69 percent for opponents. First-year Anneke Pulkkinen leads the team with six goals.

No. 4-ranked UChicago (6-2 record) plays a local opponent on Saturday afternoon when Illinois Institute of Technology (2-6) makes the short trip to the Stagg Tennis Courts.
The Maroons have already played four nationally-ranked opponents this year, going 3-1 in those matches. UChicago's singles lineup has delivered consistently with the No. 3 through No. 6 spots posting a combined record of 28-4. Junior Jeremy Yuan leads the squad in victories at 9-1.

The Maroons make their season debut versus a pair of Wisconsin opponents on Sunday in Rosemont, Ill. The games against University of Wisconsin-Stout and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh will be played at indoor sports facility The Dome.
UChicago's 19-player roster is composed of two seniors, four juniors, eight sophomores and five first-years. Twelve of the returners appeared in at least 18 games last season. Defensively, the Maroons ranked second nationally in double plays per game (0.63), turning 20 overall last year.
