CHICAGO – The University of Chicago totaled 83 honorees on the 2020 University Athletic Association (UAA) Spring All-Academic list on Tuesday.
The Maroon contingent represented four spring sports –men's tennis, women's tennis, men's outdoor track and field, and women's outdoor track and field.
The UAA's eight schools combined for 601 selections across eight sports.
Within the UAA, All-Academic recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30. The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
