EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- The University of Chicago men's cross country team earned a second-place finish in the UAA Championships on Saturday afternoon. The top-two finish is the first for the Maroons since they finished second in 2005.
Sanju Patel led the Maroons with a top-five finish, racing to a time of 25:00.3. Patel was joined on the All-UAA First Team by
Evan Parker (25:02.7) and
Liam Eifert (25:03.8) to pace UChicago.
Spencer May also earned All-UAA honors with a 12th-place finish, giving him 2nd-Team honors.

The University of Chicago men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, November 15, as the team travels to Waverly, Iowa for the NCAA Midwest Regional meet.
