NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKET
CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago baseball team has earned a bid into the 2025 NCAA Tournament for the first time in the history of the program. The Maroons will travel to Gustavus Adolphus in Saint Peter, Minnesota as they take on #25 UW-Oshkosh in the opening round of the regional.
The Maroons will compete in the double-elimination Regional tournament from Friday to Sunday as the field reduces from 64 teams to 16 heading into the Super Regional round of the tournament.
The opening round of the tournament will see #17 Gustavus Adolphus take on Beloit on Friday in the first game. Then, UChicago will battle #25 UW-Oshkosh on Friday in the second game of the day. The rest of the double-elimination tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
The University of Chicago baseball team enters the NCAA Tournament with a program-best 26 wins and 14 losses. In their first season back in the UAA, the Maroons brought home a second-place finish with a 12-8 record in the league. The team also earned their first-ever top-25 ranking this season, coming in ranked #21 in the D3baseball.com poll earlier this season. The Maroons have also picked up three wins over current top-25 opponents and ten wins over teams who are receiving votes in the latest top-25 poll.
The Maroons will be making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament after tying the program record with 26 wins this season. A full preview for the opening round game with live scoring links, ticket information, and fan guides will come out in the coming days.
