CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's lacrosse team placed six student-athletes on the CSC Academic All-District Team, as released by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon. The six student-athletes earning Academic All-District honors include
Lulu Hardy,
Jill Hooey,
Rachel Keefe,
Skylar Lienhardt,
Peyton McGuire, and
Evelina Swigart.
Lulu Hardy earned a spot on the Academic All-District team after leading the team with 49 goals on 80 shots on goal during the 2025 season. The Setauket, New York native earned 2nd-Team All-Region honors this season after being the catalyst of the UChicago offense for the fifth consecutive season. The graduate student caps off her career as the all-time leader in University of Chicago history with 331 points and 271 goals. She also ranks 3rd with 127 ground balls, 4th with 60 assists, and 7th with 52 caused turnovers.
Jill Hooey was named to the Academic All-District team after earning 2nd-Team All-Region honors. The junior from Syosset, New York accumulated 38 points with 26 goals and 12 assists, and she shot over 50% for the third consecutive year at 55.6%. In the midfield, the environmental science major was a calm presence for the Maroons with 61 draw controls, 33 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers. She enters her senior season ranked 5th in program history with 61 caused turnovers and 104 ground balls, and she is top-12 in points, goals, and assists.
Rachel Keefe earned a spot on the Academic All-District team after earning 1st-Team All-Region honors with an exceptional season in goal. The senior from Wilton, Connecticut broke her own school record this season with 124 saves, saving 47.1% of her shots faced against one of the top schedules in NCAA Division III. The political science and history double major ended her career as the best goalie in the history of University of Chicago women's lacrosse, holding the school record with 450 saves, 6.43 saves per game, 59 wins, and an 8.10 GAA.
Skylar Lienhardt was named to the Academic All-District team after starting all 18 games and tallied 23 goals and 6 assists for the Maroons. The senior from Glen Ridge, New Jersey caps off her career with the Maroons ranked 4th with 101 goals, 5th with 148 points, 6th with 47 assists, and 12th with 74 ground balls. The economics major is one of just five UChicago players in program history to accumulate over 100 career goals, and she recorded an unprecedented 80.1% shot-on-goal percentage during her four-year career.
Peyton McGuire earned a spot on the Academic All-District team after earning 3rd-Team All-American honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. McGuire earned 1st-Team All-Region honors from the IWLCA this season after compiling 49 goals and 64 points, leading the Maroons in both categories. She also compiled 15 ground balls and caused 3 turnovers on the defensive side of the ball to help lead the Maroons to the Sweet 16.
Evelina Swigart was placed on the Academic All-District team after being named an Honorable Mention All-American by the USA Lacrosse Magazine. Swigart was a 1st-Team All-Region honoree after a record-breaking season for the senior. Her 29 caused turnovers are the fourth-most in a single season, and her 89 draw controls are the second-most in program history. She caps off her career ranked third in school history with 102 career goals and 62 career assists and fourth with 164 career points. She also broke the school record with 230 career draw controls and finished second with 74 career caused turnovers.
The Maroons capped off their season with a 13-5 record after reaching the Sweet 16 for the third time in program history. The team picked up a 23-7 win over Wooster in the opening round of the tournament before falling to the defending National Champions, Middlebury, in the Sweet 16.
CSC Academic All-District Team honorees are chosen by the national organization based on combined academic and athletic accomplishments. Nominees must have a GPA above 3.50 in at least the sophomore year, and they must have either played in 90% of the team's games or started 67% of the team's games. Hardy, Hooey, Keefe, McGuire, and Swigart have also earned a spot on the Academic All-America ballot which will be voted on by sports information directors around the country. The 2025 Academic All-America team will be announced on Tuesday, July 8.
