UChicago Football Announces Incoming Class of 2022

CHICAGO – University of Chicago Head Football Coach Chris Wilkerson announced the team's incoming recruits for the 2018 season on Tuesday.

The 33-member class represents 14 different states, with seven players from Illinois; five players from California; four from Florida; three from New Jersey; two from New York; two from Ohio; two from Oklahoma; two from Texas; one from Georgia; one from Kentucky; one from Massachusetts; one from Nebraska; one from Pennsylvania and one from Wisconsin.

The Maroons begin their second season in the Midwest Conference in the 2018 season. They tallied a 6-4 record last year and finished second in the MWC. UChicago kicks off 2018 on Saturday, Sept. 1 by traveling to Washington University - St. Louis.

"We are thrilled about the class of 2022," Wilkerson said. "We have several players coming in from championship programs from all over the country. The incoming group is well represented nationally with players from 14 different states. We addressed our needs from a size, speed and skill standpoint. We continue to attract some of the best scholars, players and leaders nationally. We believe the quality of depth they add as a group will help us continue grow as we move forward. They will be a great addition to our UChicago Football community. We couldn't be more excited about them joining our family and the future of Maroon Football."
