UChicago Football Announces Incoming Class of 2024

CHICAGO – University of Chicago Head Football Coach Chris Wilkerson announced the team's 32 incoming recruits for the 2020 season on Wednesday.

The class represents 10 different states, with 10 players from California; eight from Illinois; three from New York; two from Florida; two from Georgia; two from Massachusetts; two from Ohio; one from Iowa; one from Michigan and one from Mississippi.

UChicago embarks on its fourth season in the Midwest Conference and second in the MWC South Division. The Maroons posted a 6-3 record last year, finishing runner-up in the South Division. The season opener for 2020 is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5 on the road at Washington University - St. Louis.

"We are very excited about the class of 2024," Wilkerson said. "We have several players coming in from championship programs from all over the country. The incoming group is well-represented nationally with players from 10 different states. We addressed our needs from a size, speed and skill standpoint. We continue to attract some of the best scholars, outstanding players and strong leaders nationally. We believe the quality of depth they add as a group will help us continue to grow as we move forward. They will be a great addition to our UChicago Football family and community. We couldn't be more excited about them joining our family and the future of Maroon Football."
