CHICAGO – Three University of Chicago student-athletes posted performances last week that earned Athletes of the Week status from the University Athletic Association (UAA) on Monday.

Jordan Smith was named Co-Athlete of the Week in men's basketball. The senior guard scored a game-high 23 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the field in Saturday's win at Washington University-St. Louis. Smith also nailed the game-winning three-pointer with 11 seconds left in the game to give UChicago the 70-69 victory. On the season, he ranks second on the team with 12.1 points per game.

UAA Men's Diver of the Week was sophomore Dean Boures. At Saturday's tri-meet versus Lewis University and Olivet Nazarene University, Boures swept both of the diving events. He won the one-meter board with a score of 245.03 and the three-meter board with a mark of 274.58.

Natalie DeMuro hauled in Women's Diver of the Week for her dives at the tri-meet as well. DeMuro was victorious in the one-meter dive with a score of 270.08 and took second in the three-meter dive at 242.18. Her provisional scores helped her officially qualify for the NCAA Zones, which will occur in late February in the lead-up to the NCAA Division III Championships.
