2019-20 MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE

CHICAGO – The 2019-20 University of Chicago men's basketball schedule features five opponents ranked in the final Top 25 poll of 2019* and two in the Top 10 in a 25-game slate that's sure to test the Maroons.

Led by Head Coach Mike McGrath in his 21st season, UChicago opens 2019 at Millikin University on Nov. 10 before hosting seven-straight home games, opening at the Ratner Athletics Center Nov. 13 with a matchup with NCAA Tournament qualifier Lake Forest College. Regional rival Illinois Wesleyan University comes to Chicago for a contest on Nov 19.

The Maroons host its annual Midway Classic Nov. 22-24 in what will be one of the strongest Division III invitational fields in the nation this season. UChicago will take on DePauw University (Nov. 23) before facing one of two Division III basketball powers: #7 Nebraska Wesleyan University (2018 National Champions) or #11 University of St. Thomas (2019 NCAA Sweet 16) on Nov. 24.

UChicago will then take on Wheaton College, a 2019 Final Four team, Nov. 26 before two more home dates with Washington College (Nov. 30) and Kalamazoo College (Dec. 7).

The Maroons will fly west for two games in California Dec. 17 & 20, taking on Caltech and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. A crosstown date at North Park University on Jan. 4 wraps up the 11-game nonconference slate before UChicago opens University Athletics Association play at Washington University - St. Louis on Jan. 11.

Two UAA teams -- #24 University of Rochester and #25 Emory University – reached the NCAA Tournament in 2019, and UChicago will play host to the Yellowjackets and Eagles Feb. 2 and Jan. 31, respectively. The rest of the UAA home schedule includes NYU (Jan. 24), Brandeis University (Jan. 26), Carnegie Mellon University (Feb. 14), Case Western Reserve University (Feb. 16), and the regular-season finale, a Senior Day contest against WashU on Feb. 29.

The Maroons finished 15-10 overall and 8-6 in a competitive UAA race in 2018-19.
