GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The second-ranked University of Chicago men's soccer team went on the road and knocked off one of its toughest opponents of the season in Saturday's 1-0 win at No. 5 Calvin College.

Matthew Koh – the Maroons' senior forward who has scored at least one point in every game this season – was again the hot hand for unbeaten UChicago (9-0-1), striking for his ninth goal of the year in the 50' on an unassisted strike.

That's all the visitors would need, as UChicago's defense stood tall down the stretch to keep the host Knights off the board and hand Calvin (7-1) its first loss of the year.

Koh made it count for the Maroons, who were outshot by a 19-9 margin (9-5) and totaled only one corner kick to the Knights' six. Starting keeper Aaron Katsimpalis earned his eighth win and fifth shutout of the season in the process, stopping a game-high eight shots.

In only the second time the two programs have met, the Maroons came out on top for the second-straight year. UChicago defeated the then-top-ranked Knights 2-0 in the 2017 NCAA Division III Third Round.
