ST. PAUL – Another solid defensive effort by the University of Chicago men's soccer team resulted in a 0-0 draw with University of St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon.
The No. 3-ranked Maroons moved to 0-0-2 while the No. 12-ranked Tommies ran their record to 1-0-1.
In the first-ever meeting between the two squads, both offenses were shut down almost completely. They combined for 10 shots total with two on goal.
Junior goalkeeper Aaron Katsimpalis (0-0-2 record) made both saves to earn his second-straight shutout.
Sahil Modi took a pair of shots for UChicago.
