UChicago Men’s Soccer Announces 10 Recruits for 2020

CHICAGO – University of Chicago Head Men's Soccer Coach Pat Flinn announced on Thursday that 10 incoming recruits will join the Maroons for the upcoming 2020 season.

"I couldn't be more excited about this incoming class," Flinn said. "On the field, they will make our team better all over the pitch (goalkeeper, backline, midfield and attack). All of these young men have what it takes to be really successful on and off the field at UChicago and I cannot wait to see them join our returning players. Big thanks to Coach Michael Choquette and Coach Michael Mauro for everything they did to help find these guys."

The 2019 Maroons posted a 12-2-5 record and qualified for the NCAA postseason for the sixth-straight year. UChicago became the first team in University Athletic Association (UAA) history to claim a league title with a perfect 7-0 record and no goals allowed. Goalkeeper Aaron Katsimpalis and defender Scott Lich each earned All-American honors, while the Maroons also totaled five All-Region selections and seven All-UAA honorees.
