CHICAGO – The University of Chicago women's divers dominated the three-meter board, shattering three separate records to pace the Maroon efforts at day two of the 2019 University Athletic Association (UAA) Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday.

Hosted at UChicago's Myers-McLoraine Pool, the evening session's biggest highlights occurred in the women's three-meter dive. UChicago had two athletes surpass 500 points in the prelims earlier in the afternoon, but the Maroons raised their game even higher in the finals by sweeping the top three podium spots.

Junior Agnes Lo submitted a historic performance over the course of her 11 dives, scoring 551.45 points to win the three-meter board. That mark smashes the old UAA record set last season (511.05), along with the school (510.55) and pool (524.05) records. First-year Elizabeth Cron took runner-up with 524.30 points, which also bettered those three previous marks. Fellow first-year Alice Saparov rounded out the All-UAA awardees by placing third with 467.85 points.

UChicago submitted a pair of All-UAA performances in the men's 50-yard freestyle. Sophomore Jonathan Mendley took runner-up with a time of 20.57 that was a mere 0.01 seconds behind the winner. Senior Alexander Farrell was third in 20.76.

The 200-yard freestyle relays produced dividends for UChicago as well – both the men and women submitted times that would have qualified for last year's NCAA national meet. The men placed second in 1:21.69 with the quartet of sophomore Jonathan Mendley, junior Byrne Litschgi, senior Winston Wang and senior Alexander Farrell. The women were third (1:34.76) with sophomore Nicole Lin, first-year Tyler Mandrell, senior Hannah Eastman and senior Daria Wick.

Both 400-yard medley relay teams posted final times that met last year's national qualifying standard. The men's relay (Litschgi, Reona Yamaguchi, Michael Todd, Farrell) touched second in 3:18.28, while the women's relay (Gillian Gagnard, Lin, Hadley Ackerman, Eastman) was fourth in 3:49.34. Eastman added a qualifying time in the 200-yard IM as well (2:06.05).
