CHICAGO – The University of Chicago tennis teams will be represented by six players at the upcoming NCAA Division III Singles & Doubles Championships. The list of qualifiers was released by the NCAA on Wednesday evening.

The men's and women's brackets will be composed of 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams from across the nation. The individual championships will run May 24-26 at Kalamazoo College's Stowe Stadium.

On the men's side, junior Erik Kerrigan and sophomore Jeremy Yuan were picked to the singles draw. The doubles bracket will feature the pairing of Kerrigan and junior Ninan Kumar.

Kerrigan and Kumar own a 20-7 doubles record this season. The duo became the first UChicago tandem to ever reach the NCAA doubles semifinals in 2017. This is also Kerrigan's third appearance as a singles qualifier – he is currently 11-13 on the year while playing at No. 1. Yuan makes his singles debut after making the NCAA semifinals in last year's doubles bracket. The sophomore is 20-7 playing primarily at No. 2.

On the women's side, junior Marjorie Antohi will take part in the singles draw while the doubles combination of sophomore Catherine Xu and first-year Eugenia Lee will also be in action.

Antohi makes her second-straight appearance in the singles draw. While playing at No. 1, the junior is 16-7 this season. Xu and Lee have compiled an 11-7 record holding down the No. 1 spot in doubles.
