CHICAGO – The University of Chicago men's tennis team earned six selections in Monday's release of the 2019 All-University Athletic Association (UAA) Teams.
Three Maroons were First Team All-UAA honorees. Sophomore Jeremy Yuan earned the distinction in singles, compiling a 20-8 record. The First Team doubles tandem of juniors Erik Kerrigan and Ninan Kumar own a 22-7 record and are currently riding an 11-match winning streak.
On the Second Team, first-year Joshua Xu and senior Charlie Pei received recognition in both singles and as a doubles pairing. Additionally, Xu was UAA Co-Rookie of the Year in his impactful debut campaign. As a tandem, Pei and Xu lead the squad with a 24-5 record this season. Pei is 18-7 in singles while Xu is 18-4. First-year Alex Guzhva was a Second Team singles recipient with a 21-7 mark.
