STEVENS POINT, Wis. – In the final push to improve marks before nationals, the University of Chicago track and field teams participated in four races at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Last Chance Indoor Meet on Saturday.
UChicago's women ran in one event – the 4x400-meter relay. The foursome of junior Mikaela Hammel, junior Alison Pildner, sophomore Eleanor Kang and sophomore Michelle Dobbs finished in seventh place with a time of 3:56.51.
The Maroon men also participated in the 4x400-meter relay. The quartet ran a time of 3:19.20 to take sixth place (junior Ben Clark, freshman Obinnaya Wamuo, junior Ryan Manzuk, freshman Nathan Downey). Sophomore Nicholas Nielsen was 20th in the one mile (4:24.02) and freshman Patrick LeFevre was 11th in the 60-meter hurdles (8.50).
