ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Chicago men's track & field team netted two more all-conference finishes as the Maroons finished in fourth place on the final day of the 2019 University Athletic Association Outdoor Championships Sunday.
Washington-St. Louis won the team standings with 232 points, Carnegie Mellon was second (168) and Case Western third (123) at the meet hosted by Emory University.
UChicago Junior thrower Alexander Scott earned his third all-conference honor of the meet with his third-place finish in the discus, where he threw for a mark of 46.53 meters. On Saturday, Scott won the hammer throw and took second in the shot put. The three all-conference marks give him 11 all-UAA honors for his career.
First-year Henry Myers recorded the other all-UAA mark for the Maroons, as he crossed the finish line in third place in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:05.09.
UChicago had 11 other finishes score points for the squad in Top 8 finishes, including three fourth-place and two fifth-place marks.
Tyson Miller was a part of three of those events, earning fourth in the 200 (22.62), fifth in the 100 (11.19) and was a part of the fourth-place 4x100 relay team, joining Wilson Hansen, Gray Mackall, and Nike Reid.
First-year Cameron Edgington earned the final fourth-place finish in the 400 hurdles with a time of 55.48 seconds.
