CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago men's and women's cross country teams were both named 2012 Cross Country All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on February 22. Additionally, five members of the women's squad were All-Academic honorees as individuals.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Senior runners Billy Whitmore and Julia Sizek both earned All-American honors and led the way for the University of Chicago cross country teams at the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday. The UChicago women's team ended up finishing 15th out of 32 teams at the LaVern Gibson Course.
WINNECONNE, Wis. -- The University of Chicago women's cross country team took second place while the men's cross country team took sixth place at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday. The second-place finish clinched a return trip to the NCAA Division III Championship for the Maroon women.
CHICAGO, Ill. -- Following two weeks off from competition, the University of Chicago cross country teams put forth good showings at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday. On the men's side, the Maroons placed fifth out of 47 teams. On the women's side, Chicago placed 10th in a field of 51 squads.
