CHICAGO – University of Chicago women's lacrosse player Emily Feigen picked up her first career Defensive Player of the Week from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on Monday.
The Maroon goalkeeper helped shut down University of Wisconsin-River Falls' offensive attack in a 15-2 victory on Saturday. The Falcons were averaging 21.5 points per game coming into the matchup, but could only manage one score against Feigen in her nearly 45 minutes of play. The first-year made six saves, including five in the first half.
On the season, Feigen is 3-0 with a 4.00 goals against average and 11 saves.
