CHICAGO – University of Chicago's Jenna McKinney and Mackenzie Peebles led a Maroon women's soccer contingent that accrued five spots on the All-University Athletic Association (UAA) Teams on Thursday.
McKinney was a First Team All-UAA selection for the third-straight year. She was also previously the 2015 UAA Co-Rookie of the Year. The senior midfielder leads the team with 10 goals and two assists for 22 points, which ranks second in the league in goals and tied for third in points.
Peebles was a repeat selection on the First Team as a defender. She has scored three goals and dished out an assist as well. With the junior leading the way, UChicago's defense is holding teams to 8.2 shots per game while shutting out six opponents.
Katie Jasminski secured Second Team status from her forward position. The sophomore has one goal and five assists to her credit, which is tied for the team lead.
Juniors Hanna Watkins and Rachel Dias were named Honorable Mention All-UAA. Watkins ranks third in the league in goals (9) and fifth in points (21) from her attacking midfielder position. Fellow midfielder Dias is tied for third on the team in points with four goals and a team-best five assists.
