CHICAGO – Five members of the University of Chicago women's soccer team received All-Central Region status from the United Soccer Coaches on Monday.
Midfielder Hanna Watkins led the trio of First Team honorees – she was previously Third Team All-Region in 2018. She completed her senior season as the team's leading scorer, posting 12 goals and six assists in 20 starts. Five of her goals were game-winners. In the school record books, Watkins concludes her career ranked No. 4 in goals (35), No. 9 in assists (19) and No. 5 in points (89).
Defender/midfielder Maddie DeVoe was a First Team pick as well. Over the course of 20 starts, she tallied two goals and two assists, which included two game-winners. DeVoe was part of a defensive unit that tallied seven shutouts while only allowing 0.75 goals per game.
Junior Katie Jasminski garnered First Team status as a forward. She ranked second on the squad in scoring with seven goals and six assists in 20 games. Her 18 career assists currently rank No. 10 in program history.
Junior defender Casey Jervier and junior goalkeeper Miranda Malone both earned spots on the Third Team All-Region. Jervier started all 20 games as the team's main sweeper. Malone posted a 13-3-3 record with a 0.84 goals against average and 0.795 save percentage.
